By Nkem Egenuka on Tue, 11/04/2017 - 15:18

ZODML commissioned  libraries in Awka and Onitsha prisons respectively, on the 30th of March, 2017. The libraries were commissioned by the Chief Judge of Anambra State, Honorable Justice Peter Umeadi represented by Honorable Justice T.U. Oguji for Awka prison and Honorable Ike Ogu for Onitsha prison.

Driven by our mission to change lives, by creating a channel through which an individual can self-educate themselves. We establish prison libraries to help the inmates through their journey to reformation because education makes them better individuals and it also increases employability.

We established our first prison library in March 2013 at Ikoyi Prison, Lagos state and 2014, some of the inmates that regularly made use of the library were admitted into the National Open University to study different courses.

In 2015, we completed the libraries in the Kirikiri Maximum, Medium and Badagry prison respectively.

We are of the belief that libraries will help reintegrate the inmates into the society because we provide materials that range from textbooks to research books, non-fiction materials, magazines and fiction to open up their minds.
