"Reading should not be presented to children as a chore or duty. It should be offered to them as a precious gift."  Kate DiCamillo.

Welcome to ZODML’s Author Book Talk sessions for Local Government Primary School Children - Nurturing Young Minds through the Magic of Stories!

We believe that every page turned is a world explored, and every story shared is an opportunity to inspire. Our Book Talk sessions bring authors and children together in a magical exchange of ideas, creativity, and boundless imagination. It’s a journey into the captivating realms of literature, tailored specifically for our young learners.

Through these engaging sessions, young readers have the incredible opportunity to interact with the creators behind the stories. It’s a chance to dive deeper into the narratives, explore the characters’ motivations, and even learn about the fascinating process of bringing a book to life.

The sessions encourage the children to express their thoughts, ask questions, and share their interpretations of the stories. They enrich their reading experience and also cultivate their confidence in articulating their ideas.

For authors, our book talk events offer a chance to directly connect with their readers, fostering a meaningful connection that goes beyond the pages of a book. It’s a wonderful way to give back to the community and inspire young minds.

We believe that our Author Book Talk sessions are transformative, enriching children's and authors' lives. Through lively discussions and shared enthusiasm for stories, we’re building a bridge between generations and perspectives.

After the session, each pupil receives a free Library card which provides them with access to reading and learning resources.

Join us in this literary adventure, where stories are the guiding stars and creativity knows no bounds
