Sulayman Afose is a photojournalist who tells a visual story of his emotional connection to life's experiences through photographs. He uses photo essays and documentary photography to emphasise the visual impact of art.

Sulayman was born in Lagos in 1990. He developed an interest in photography after he attended a photo workshop in Makoko, Lagos State. Sulayman was trained by ace photographers Adolphus Opara and Olusola Otori and had his first group photo exhibition in March 2010. In April 2010, he was among 10 contestants out of 300 that were selected to participate in the photo contest organized by Etisalat and African Artists' Foundation and was awarded a Certificate of Excellence. He studied photojournalism at the Nigerian Institute of Journalism, Lagos. His photographs have been exhibited at the Muson Centre, Lagos, African Artists' Foundation and at the LagosPhoto Festival. He has worked with 6Mois Magazine and La-Boite-Bulles of France, as well as various photo and art galleries in Lagos.
